Blue

I was feeling blue today. Both figuratively and literally. Sometimes it is hard to not let things get to you. One little thing that gets you down lets to another that leads to another that leads to yet another. They say that comparing yourself to another is the root of all unhappiness and I find that to be true. So, do yourself a favor and DON'T. I know it is easier said than done but we must always remember what we love about ourselves and only compare ourselves with who we were yesterday and strive to be better than that. That's what got me out of my funk. I also went out for a short jog. It's hard to keep up with R though, he's pretty fast. Anyway it is important to get out and just enjoy nature. That will help put things in perspective. I  had a night out planned with a friend I hadn't seen in awhile so I was happy to put on something cute and do my makeup. Especially since I wear scrubs Monday thru Thursday. It's fun to get dolled up. So here is what I wore! I did pair it with a black leather jacket and a black infinity scarf (that is not pictured) because we went out at night. Shirt is from Forever 21, pants from Fashion Q and shoes recently purchased from Target that I looooove!! Go out and get yourself a pair! They are fab and only $35.00! I got them in tan too.

My make up was on point today. I wish you could see it more but it was definitely noticeable in person. A mixture of three different blues on my lower lid with a gunmetal grey on my eyelid. I've been watching a lot of youtube makeup tutorials and learning a lot. I really enjoy it even though I can definitely improve a lot. Practice makes perfect!

Happy, happy birthday to my love Reuben! You have made my life so much more full. So much more fun, happy and bright. You uplift me and I am more excited for life then ever before and you are a big reason why. I hope you have a marvelous day! I will try to make it the best one yet! ;) I love you so much!

For his birthday I got him tickets to The Book of Mormon at the Pantages theatre and we are going to dinner at Pitfire pizza in the noho arts district. So exciting! Just thought I would quickly share what I'm wearing and the details before we run out the door.

I got this dress at Fallas Paredes (no shame, haha.) It was only $12! That's crazy to me because it looks so much more expensive. Sometimes if you really scope out the place you will find some hidden gems. And I love that. It's a thrill. It's like hunting. At least for me! Where do you guys like to score deals on pretty clothes?

Lady in Red... And Pink

Hi guys! I haven't blogged for a bit and I can definitely say that I missed it! It just gets so hard when I have a pile of homework waiting to get done. Blogging is starting to be more of a life style for me then a hobby. It's just so fun and it really is what I love doing. Definitely a creative outlet! Okay, so enough with the mushy! Valentines Day is right around the corner and I thought I would share  a Valentines Day outfit. It is simple, but festive. Hope you like it! These colors are so romantic!

Lazy Super Bowl Sunday

I wanted to wear something comfortable but still cute for yesterdays Super Bowl. We had a little get together at home and this outfit was perfect for the occasion. $8 shirt from forever 21, old jeans from Papaya, and my favorite boots from target which were about $30. Bracelet/cuff $8 and gold hoops (which look good with just about any outfit) about $3 also from forever 21.

Beach

Today was beach day, and it was WINDY! Happy my sweater was so warm. Its an oldie but a goodie from Gap, denim collared shirt, jeans and cheetah print flats are all from forever 21. I love when style meets comfort.
